About me
Jen Lee, 500HR E-RYT, Yoga Teacher
I am passionate about the transformative power of yoga and have been sharing this practice with students for over 15 years. My journey with yoga began when I was a stressed-out college student looking for a way to manage anxiety and find inner peace. I quickly fell in love with the practice and knew that I wanted to share its benefits with others.
My Approach: My teaching approach is rooted in creating a safe and welcoming space for students to explore and deepen their practice. I believe that yoga is for everybody, and I strive to make the practice accessible to all. I am dedicated to teaching alignment-based yoga with a focus on breath, mindfulness, and self-awareness. Through my teaching, I aim to guide students to a place of inner peace, balance, and empowerment.
I have experience teaching a variety of styles, including Hatha, Vinyasa, and Restorative Yoga. I also incorporate meditation and pranayama practices into my classes to help students cultivate mindfulness and connection with their breath. My classes are suitable for all levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners.
My Training and Studies: I completed my 200-hour teacher training in Hatha Yoga at a local studio in 2007, and have since completed advanced trainings with senior teachers such as Rodney Yee, Seane Corn, and Shiva Rea. In 2015, I completed my 500-hour certification with YogaWorks, a comprehensive training that deepened my understanding of anatomy, sequencing, and yoga philosophy.
In addition to my yoga training, I have also studied Ayurveda and mindfulness meditation. I completed a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course in 2012 and have since incorporated mindfulness practices into my teaching. I also completed an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Counselor program in 2018, which has deepened my understanding of holistic health and wellness.
My students appreciate my warm and compassionate teaching style, as well as my attention to detail and commitment to safe and effective alignment. Whether you are looking to develop a home practice, deepen your understanding of yoga, or simply relax and destress, I would be honored to guide you on your journey.
I currently offer in-person and virtual classes, as well as private sessions. Please feel free to reach out to me to discuss your goals and schedule a session.
